The scanners Bluetooth Wireless Barcode have been very popular in the last few years in the retail industries and in services industry. This method has saved a lot of time and money and many companies have adopted it in their routine. They use the barcode scanners do scan products and this technology has become a big and important part integrated in their everyday business operations.
The wireless barcode scanners that use the Bluetooth technology through wireless coverage are low in costs per a single barcode scan, compared with the wireless barcode scanners 802.11b. Also, the Bluetooth wireless barcode scanners have a light weight and they are portable. This means that the operator can move freely from one point to another. This is good for the industry because it allows the operator to go to the product and scan it, if the product is big, or to bring the product near if the product is small. The large items don’t require to be moved and this means less manipulation time and thus lower costs.
Two barcode scanners types exist. One of them is based in the CCD technology and the other relies on the laser technology. The CCD barcode scanners use some optical cameras. The cameras capture the image of the barcode and then it translates it barcode information. But one big disadvantage of this CCD barcode system is that you must have a short scanning distance. This is why the system is used in static scanners or fixed ones so that the distance is not a problem.

The laser barcode scanners use the laser to catch the barcode. This means that the scanning distance can be bigger and the scanned surface can have some curves also. Nowadays, the majority of the Bluetooth wireless barcode scanners have laser technology.
In the last years the prices for these scanning systems have dropped a lot and you can get a very good one for just a couple of hundred dollars. This makes the barcode scanner a good business investment.
